The actress Ashley Judd, 54, revealed that she met the man who raped her to talk about the crime. While participating in the podcast Healing with David Kesslerthe actress of Double risk (1999) explained why she decided to talk to the man.
“There are many ways to heal the pain. And it’s important to remind listeners that I didn’t need anything from him, and that it was just nice that he apologized and showed his deep remorse.”
The abuse occurred in 1999. Years later, Ashley searched for the perpetrator and, to her surprise, found him easy to find.
“Long story short, we ended up sitting together in rocking chairs by a stream. And I said, ‘I’m very interested in hearing the story you’ve been carrying out all these years.’ And we had a conversation about restorative justice. ”
