The young Maicol Sales Dos Santos23, confessed to having acted alone in the murder of Vitória Regina de Souza17, in Cajamar, Sao Paulo. He said he had a relationship with the victim and that on the night of the crime he found it while returning home.

Victoria disappeared on February 26, when she returned from work and her body was found six days later in a forest area. The police did not find evidence of the fact that Maicol and Vitória had a relationship, but stressed that he pursued her and was obsessed with her.
