Gilberto Gil comments black treatment

Gilberto Gil, father of Preta Gil, commented on the treatment of the singer, who fights the colon -retto cancer, diagnosed in 2023. The singer had to return to perform a treatment against the disease in August 2024 after the emergence of new tumors.

After carrying out a surgery of over 21 hours to remove tumors, Preta Gil no longer has a treatment to be performed in Brazil. Therefore, the singer should move to the United States to perform an existing protocol in the country. In an interview with Veja, Gilberto Gil, however, explained that the details of the trip are not yet right.

“It is not defined that it goes. It depends on the evaluation of the workshops, one in New York and the other in Los Angeles,” explained the musician.

Gilberto Gil stressed that preta’s decision to exhibit his trajectory against the disease helped her a lot to the singer. “This promotes solidarity and gives strength. Even if people do not miracles, they help miracles to happen.”

At the moment, Preta Gil is hospitalized in Rio de Janeiro due to a urine infection. According to the Caras portal, it is stable and without exhaust forecast.
