After seven years from the big screen, Marina Roy Barbosa will return to the cinema in an unprecedented production of globe. The actress was confirmed in the cast of the film “Antarctica”, who will have started her recordings in August at the Globo Studios, with the full use of engaging virtual technology, similar to that used in international productions such as “The Mandalorian” and Marvel Movies.
The actress, who concluded her fixed contract with the station in 2024, has now signed an agreement for the right work. Marina had already refused the proposals to return to Soap Opera, as a participation in the remake of “Vale Tudo”. However, he chose to explore new formats, participating in the “Tremembé” series, a privileged video production in which Suzane von Richthofen sounds, without a fixed date.
The feature will be played by Andréa Beltrão, who will play a vice commander of the Navy on a Brazilian base in Antarctica. The plot revolves around the investigations of a mysterious crime that occurred on the site between extreme weather conditions. In addition to Marina, the cast will also present Adélio Lima, known for its performance in the soap opera “Dona de Me”. In all, 12 characters integrate the narrative.
According to the director Bruno Safadi, the plot follows the arrival of a new group of military and military scientists, where they are satisfied by six months. During the reception, a murder occurs, which triggers an investigation conducted by the deputy commander, whose journey will reveal a personal trauma. At the same time, the characters will have to face a serious climatic crisis, with temperatures that precipitate up to -30 ° C.
Initially designed as a series, “Antarctica” was renovated for the film format by her writer Claudia Jouvin. The decision was motivated by reasons for the narrative rhythm and the budget. Registration in a studio environment allows full control of the setting and reduction of movement costs for real positions.
“Antarctide” will mark the first Marina film from 2018, when he starred in “Lightning Raping” and “All Love Songs”. Previously, his only film experience had been a child, in a production with Xuxa Meneghel.
