The detention of rapper Oruam, who occurred on Tuesday evening (22), generated a strong reaction from his consultancy team. The singer, who voluntarily presented himself to the authorities, was classified as a “high danger” arrested by the Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro. According to the official police version, Oruam would have interfered an operation destined for the seizure of a teenager suspected of theft and involvement in the section. However, the singer’s defense says that the approach was conducted abusively, without an order of the legally allowed court and obsolete. In another declaration, the advice also denied any involvement of the singer with criminal factions. According to the text, “the information that associates the artist with crimes or classifications of danger is totally unfounded and do not correspond to reality”. The note also highlights the rapper’s professional history, highlighting his social commitment and peripheral origin which, as said, cannot be used as a justification for legal persecution or institutional discrimination.
