The detention of rapper Oruam, who occurred on Tuesday evening (22), generated a strong reaction from his consultancy team. The singer, who voluntarily presented himself to the authorities, was classified as a “high danger” arrested by the Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro. This categorization has been included in the guide to the collection of Polininter prisoners and is in the third level of a scale that goes to four.
According to the official police version, Oruam would have interfered an operation destined for the seizure of a teenager suspected of theft and involvement in the section. This young man would have been in his residence in the Joá neighborhood, west of the capital of the state. After the pre -cultivated detention mandate, the artist was offending for seven crimes, including drug trafficking, the threat, contempt, personal injuries, damage damage and traffic association.
However, the singer’s defense says that the approach was conducted abusively, without an order of the legally allowed court and obsolete. In another declaration, the advice also denied any involvement of the singer with criminal factions. According to the text, “the information that associates the artist with crimes or classifications of danger is totally unfounded and do not correspond to reality”. The note also highlights the rapper’s professional history, highlighting his social commitment and peripheral origin which, as said, cannot be used as a justification for legal persecution or institutional discrimination.

In a note sent to the Leodias portal, the Advisory also requested the steps to believe that the authors of the false information were responsible so far. Furthermore, he reiterated his commitment for legality and human rights, mentioning that “the law has color”, a phrase often used by Oruam as a symbol of his fight against structural racism.
