Actor Joe Keery, who plays Steve Harrington on the Stranger Things series, said he can’t stand the constant attention to his hair in interviews and in the media in general.
“It’s really ridiculous. It’s not something I have any control over,” he told The Daily Beast. “I have a career, so I have to think, ‘Who cares? I’ll take it.’ But hair isn’t something I really care about. However, people seem to find it really important and they get stuck on it, for whatever reason … It’s pretty silly, honestly. “
All this attention paid to Keery’s hair is not recent. Last year he was even invited to advertise for a cosmetics brand. “I think it would be too pedantic for most people. It would be a sales gesture. Don’t you think?” He revealed to GQ magazine.
The obsession ended up producing music too. The star, who is also a singer, recently recorded a song called “Gloom”. And at one point in the song, she says, “Your insults don’t hit me with my favorite coat. I know my hair was beautiful in the bar bathroom.”
