Suzana Alves vents about absence and responsibility

Suzana Alves is questioning the male role in the family three months after ending her 15-year marriage to a former tennis player and reaffirming her focus on her children.

Suzana Alves, ex Tiazinha, published an outburst on her social networks about responsibility in marriage and abandonment. The actress and psychology student made the publication this Tuesday (21), three months after the end of her fifteen-year relationship with former tennis player Flavio Saretta, announced at the beginning of July 2025.

In the text Suzana questions the male role in the family structure. “In the church there is a lot of talk about the wise woman, but what about the man? Where is the responsibility that God has entrusted to him,” the actress wondered in her publication.

The former aunt spoke about her expectations about the role of men in the home. “Man, God called you for this, to be an example, to protect, to lead with love and not with absence. Because when a man is absent, the house loses its foundation. When his heart hardens, the house feels it, everyone feels it,” he writes.

In another part of the rant, Suzana revealed her personal experience with abandonment. “I know what it means to be abandoned. I don’t say this to accuse or judge, but to open the heart and say that Jesus can heal everything, because God can restore. He can teach men to love, not just women, because the Church already teaches this, and women can trust again. He can rebuild everything that has been destroyed,” he said.

The actress also shared a video with religious reflections on family roles and commented: “One of the truest videos I’ve ever seen in my life.” The content addressed the division of spiritual responsibilities in the home: “In every home where a woman takes on the role of a man, the devil is already inside (…) It is the man’s duty to lead the spiritual life of the woman. What kind of joke is this that the woman prays more than you? Who reads the Bible more than you? There are men who are happy while the woman is at church and he is at the club. He must be the boss!”

Announcing her split in July, Suzana described the moment as delicate. “I’m going through a delicate moment in my life: I’m on a separation journey,” he declared at the time.

The actress said she is keeping her faith and focusing on her children after the breakup. “I continue in peace, with the same faith in my God and with my heart strengthened by the love of those around me. I am immensely grateful to all those who accompany me and cheer me on. I continue to walk depending on God, with my most precious gifts: Felipe and Benjamin, my beloved children, my legacy, my legacy, my greatest asset! It is they and I, together, who move forward with love, courage and hope.”

Suzana also spoke about her old dream of starting a family. “Those who know my story know how much I dreamed of having a family. In fact, this was one of the reasons why I left everything behind. But unfortunately there are things that are beyond our control and we have to accept them and move forward.”
