After being charged with sexual harassment, actor Gary Busey, 78, committed an act of obscenities. He was seen on Saturday afternoon (8/20) smoking a cigar with his pants down in a park in the city of Malibu, California.
According to the Daily Mail, Busey was seen exiting his car, wearing a T-shirt referencing the movie “Huntlers” (1991), and heading to the Point Dume Park lookout, where he sat on a bench. he took out his cell phone and dropped his pants.
Then the actor clenched his jaw, looked around to make sure no one was witnessing the act, then lit a cigar. He stayed there for 30 minutes, watching the sea, before returning to his car and leaving the site.
The episode came just the day after Gary Busey was accused of sexually assaulting three women during Monster-Mania, a convention for New Jersey horror movie fans.
The actor had been invited to the event for his participation in “Predator 2” (1990), in which one of the protagonists lived. After the allegations surfaced, Busey was removed from the rest of the lineup.
According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, police had received “multiple complaints” about Busey’s conduct. After an investigation, the Cherry Hill, New Jersey Police Department accused Busey of two criminal sexual contacts and one attempted criminal sexual contact. He was also charged with harassment.
The heyday of Busey’s career was between the 70s and 90s. He was even nominated for an Oscar for his starring role in the rock biopic “The Buddy Holly Story” (1978) and has distinguished himself in such blockbuster films as “Lethal Weapon” (1987), starring Mel Gibson and Danny Glover, “Predator 2” (1990), again with Danny Glover, “Huntlers” (1991), with Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze, “The Force Standing” (1992), with Steven Seagal, and “The Company” (1993), with Tom Cruise.
Due to his eccentric personality, the actor has also participated in many productions playing himself, from the classic “The Player” (1992), by Robert Altman, to the trashy “The Last Sharknado: It’s Already Time” (2018), passing through the series – and the film of the series – “Entourage”.
It is still in business, but 90% of its work this century is low-budget productions for the home video and internet rental market. The highlight of this list is “Piranha 2” (2012), released directly on VOD (video on demand) in the United States. He played a peasant who dies devoured by piranhas at the beginning of the film.
