Globo will cut half of “Verdades Secretas 2” for TV broadcast

Globo has set the release date of “Secret truths 2“on your schedule. It will be October 4th.

The detail is that the station will broadcast only half of the 50 episodes that moved Globoplay. The first streaming soap opera will become a 24-chapter miniseries on open TV.

The sequel and ending of Angel’s story (Camila Queiroz) will last until 11 November, just before the start of the World Cup.

There are several reasons for the cuts. One of them is the World Cup itself, which will impact television programming in November.

There are also many hot scenes that Globo prefers not to show to his mainstream audience. According to various surveys, 95% of the cuts should focus on the 70 sexual sequences of the production. Furthermore, Camila Queiroz was released from production before the end of the recordings, disappearing in the final stretch to reappear only at the end.

The idea would be to rush the plot to avoid the tortuous, more dragged moments of the original edition.

The TV version is also expected to have only one ending. It is worth mentioning that two different outcomes for Angel were presented to the streaming audience.

The amount of cuts would have displeased the author of the novel, Walcyr Carrasco. According to NaTelinha, he fears that the lack of sensual scenes will irritate the viewer who followed the commercialization of the streaming release and could cause production to fail. This could have a ripple effect and hurt reception for their new storyline, “Red Sea,” in development next year.

Walcyr Carrasco has not officially commented on the Globo edition.
