Apparently, the “Direct line”a success of Globo, which aired from 1999 to 2007, will return to the broadcaster’s schedule.
The project, according to the editorialist Patrícia Kogut, by Jornal O Globo, is examined in secret in the nucleus led by Mariano Boni. Incidentally, the team is also assembled and there is no defined presenter for the program.
In the past, the attraction, which portrayed unsolved crimes and helped locate hundreds of fugitives from justice, was presented by Marcelo Rezende and, later, Domingo Meirelles.
Furthermore, it is worth mentioning that the “Direct line“was also responsible for the exploration of cases known to the media, such as the death of Ângela Diniz.

Why did the hotline end?
Since its inception, the program has contributed to the arrest of 431 fugitives from justice, as published by “O Fuxico”. The simulations were performed by actors, although almost always unknown.
The broadcaster, however, decided to put an end to the attraction in December 2007. “With regard to the manifestations of entities linked to Human Rights for the continuity of the Linha Direta program – for its recognized public interest -, we inform you that TV Globo has begun to adopt the system of the season. Even with proven success and importance, the programs have their airing suspended, undergoing a re-evaluation for future airing “, reads the statement issued at the time.
