This Thursday (8), the queen Elizabeth II died at the age of 96at Balmoral Castle in Scotland. The statement was made by real family. The monarch was the longest-lived in the history of UKwith 70 years on the throne, going through different moments, such as crises, wars and becoming a figure known all over the world.

“The queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The king and queen consort will stay at Balmoral tonight and return to London tomorrow,” the British royal house said on Twitter.

Of course, UK government leaders are already moving towards some changes that will take place gradually until 73-year-old Prince Charles ascends the throne as the new king. Some of the significant changes that will take place will affect the anthem and the local currency.

The new British coin will be printed with the face of the new King Charles, with the current one, bearing the portrait of Elizabeth II, out of circulation over time. In addition, stamps, passports, police and military uniforms have also been modified. The national anthem will instead be “God Save the King”.
