The Sao Paulo State Court of Justice concluded that Suzy Camacho did not falsify the medical certificates submitted to prove the mental abilities of her then husband, Farid Curi, who died last week.
Issued on Tuesday (27/9), the sentence exempts the actress from the complaint filed by the Public Prosecutor, who accuses her of having deceived doctors to obtain certificates and free a withdrawal of R $ 10 million from Farid’s account.
The sons of the businessman claimed that Farid was mentally unable to decide his own money. For Justice, however, there is no evidence that the certificates are false, or that Suzy has committed a crime.
Judge Luciana Piovesan underlines in her decision that the same doctors, in testimony to the police, stated that the documents attested the real state of health of the entrepreneur at that time. “The medical claims, therefore, are not false, therefore [se torna] impossible to consider the ideological falsehood “, states the decision.
Suzy’s defense said it was the businessman himself who consulted the doctors and obtained the certificates and that the actress was not part of this process. Therefore, the judge also stated that it would be “impossible” to impose on Suzy “the embarrassment of responding to this criminal action”.
Suzy Camacho and Farid Curi got married in 2013 under the mandatory separation of property. But, in a document sent to the police, Curi’s four children claimed that the actress, taking advantage of the entrepreneur’s fragile health conditions, would have stolen assets and resources while her husband was in a coma. They cited the withdrawal of R $ 10 million and that Suzy’s son “appeared with a Lamborghini vehicle worth two million reais”.
Since the lawsuit was brought by the State Prosecutor, Farid’s children have no way of challenging the sentence. Only the parliamentarian can decide whether to do it in the first instance.
