Kevin Costner becomes governor in the “Yellowstone 5” trailer.

Paramount + has released the subtitled trailer for the fifth season of “Yellowstone”, one of the most viewed series on US pay TV. The preview begins with John Dutton, Kevin Costner’s character, taking the oath as governor of Montana and taking a look at the chaos that accompanies his political rise.

Scheduled for November 13 in the United States, the premiere of the new chapters is eagerly awaited, after the season 4 finale, shown on January 2, was seen by 15 million viewers.

In addition to being the first weekly series starring Kevin Costner, “Yellowstone” was also the first television attraction created by director Taylor Sheridan, who was nominated for an Oscar 2017 for his screenplay for “At Any Cost” (2016). made his debut as a director with “Widerness” (2017), winning an award at the Cannes Film Festival.

Sheridan wrote the scripts, produced and directed a few episodes of the attraction, which covered the same universe as his award-winning films: the rural US countryside, where men still wear cowboy hats, ride horses (and helicopters) and are quick on the trigger. By the way, the cast of “Yellowstone” also includes indigenous actor Gil Birmingham, who worked on the two aforementioned Sheridan films.

The other actors confirm the production’s cinematic ambition, with emphasis on Wes Bentley (“The Hunger Games”), Kelly Reilly (“Britannia” series), Luke Grimes (“Fifty Shades Freed”), Cole Hauser (“Transcendence: Revolution “)”), Kelsey Asbille (“Wild Land”), Dave Annable (“Red Band Society Series”), Josh Lucas (“Mark Felt – The Man Who Brought Down the White House”), Ian Bohen (“Teen Wolf” ) plus Danny Huston (“Wonder Woman”) in the first two seasons and Josh Holloway (from the series “Colony” and “Lost”) in the third season.

The success is such that “Yellowstone” has given birth to a universe with two prologues: the western series “1883”, released in December exclusively on the Paramount + platform, and the upcoming “1923”, set during the gangster era, which will debut in December this year with a cast led by Harrison Ford (Indiana Jones) and Helen Mirren (“The Queen”).

In Brazil, “Yellowstone” is available exclusively on Paramount +, which, despite having made available the trailer with subtitles, has not announced the date of the national premiere.
