Globo boycott Camila Queiroz in the promotion of “Verdades Secretas 2”

Protagonist of “Verdades Secretas” and its sequel, Camila Queiroz would be boycotted in the promotion of the Globoplay soap opera, which will debut with a different version (without the hottest scenes) on TV this Tuesday (4/10). The statement is from Notícias da TV, who discovered that Globo has no intention of letting Camila talk about her character, Angel.

Instead of the protagonist, Globo chose Agatha Moreira to promote the soap opera. She the actress recorded a video for “Meeting with Patricia Poeta”, where she invites the audience to watch the second season of the opera. Additionally, first-time actress Julia Byrro rose to prominence in an interview with Gshow.

With no space in company, Camila limited herself to celebrating the premiere of “Verdades Secretas 2” on her social networks. She posted a short trailer on Instagram Stories. “Are you ready?” she wrote.

The actress was fired from Walcyr Carrasco’s soap opera in the final stretch and did not finish filming, having her final appearance represented by a stunt double.

The alleged reason for the removal was the negotiations to ensure the presence of the actress in a then probable third season of the plot. The dispute with Camila’s manager to make sure Angel survives the end of the telenovela generated discomfort and her contract was not extended to shoot the final scenes.

Since then, the actress has no longer participated in online actions, such as interviews in programs or on the Internet. But even with this alleged veto, her face is the highlight of the soap opera commercials, as she is the protagonist of the story.

Far from being affected by the alleged boycott, the actress continues as host of the reality show “Casamento aos Cegas Brasil” and is recording the 2nd season of the series “De Volta aos 15”, both for Netflix.
