What you didn’t know, this pretty woman moment is an improvisation by the actors, not a script

Improvisation of actors often plays into the hands of the director and the picture as a whole, making it more memorable. So it happened with the movie “Pretty Woman”.

The film “Pretty Woman” with Julia Roberts and Richard Gere in the main roles is already more than 30 years old, but it not only remains popular, but has long been ranked among the cult films!

Not many people know that Pretty Woman was originally called $3000. This is the amount Vivienne received during the week from her casual acquaintance Edward Lewis. Then the film was renamed again – and they did it well!

There were a lot of improvisations in the film. For example, Richard Gere played the piano by himself. But that’s not all: he played a role he composed himself!

However, we want to tell you about a funny moment during the filming: the pure improvisation ended up being part of the film.

We’re talking about the scene in which Edward smashes the case with the necklace, pinching Vivienne’s fingers slightly and scaring her as well. It wasn’t written in the script: so Richard Gere decided to play a trick on Julia Roberts.

The actress’ reaction was so natural, funny and charming that the director decided to insert this take into the film. Did you know ?
