The extremist behavior of Cássia Kis has become the subject of complaints in Globo and is already producing lawsuits in court.

A group of employees of the station would have met to formalize a complaint to the Compliance Office against the actress not only behind the scenes of the soap opera “Travessia”, but also in the “Desalma” series.

Employees complained that Cássia yells and mistreats colleagues, even with prejudiced comments. More than 10 employees signed the complaints.

Additionally, two groups from the LGBTQIAP + community expressed their repudiation of the actress’s homophobic speech, in a recent interview in which she stated that same-sex couples “do not give children” and that they intend to “destroy the family” and “destroy the being. human”. life”.

The National LGBT + Alliance announced legal measures against the actress after the comments, forwarding a letter directly to Globo, while the LGBT Citizenship Group Arco-Íris sued the Rio TJ through a Public Civil Action against Cássia for the crime of homophobia.

In the petition, Arco-Íris cites that the actress’s jokes “clearly carry discriminatory and prejudiced content towards homosexual couples and the LGBTQIAP + community when they question the validity of their existence”.

The movement seeks collective compensation for the attacks carried out by Cássia for an amount of R $ 250 thousand, “in order to promote policies and programs aimed at combating discrimination and LGBTphobia in the artistic context”. There is also a request for public retraction.

Arco-Íris also delivered a crime report to the Rio de Janeiro police station for racial and intolerance crimes reporting the same facts. The request is for the occurrence of a crime by Cássia, with the possible opening of a criminal action. Assimilated with the STF’s crime of racism, homophobia can carry a prison sentence of one to three years, as well as a fine.

But if the actress’s situation was already critical due to homophobic comments and confrontational attitudes in the company, it has worsened a lot after circulating videos of her participation in the coup movements that unite the Bolsonarians against Brazilian democracy.

According to columnist Lucas Pasin, Globo held a series of meetings with directors to define the veteran’s future.

In a press release, the company reiterated not to comment on compliance issues, but specified: “Globo has a Code of Ethics, which must be followed by all employees and equally by all company areas – and in none of them. it is any tolerated form of discrimination. Likewise, it has an ombudsman ready to receive any report of violation, which is carefully investigated. “
