Prince Philip’s friend reveals a rare disease faced by the queen in the last years of her reign
The royal family announced the death of Queen Elizabeth II in September this year. At the time, the reason for the monarch’s death was listed by the royal family as “natural causes”. However, a friend of Prince Philip’s is changing this information.
After all, Gyles Brandeth wrote in his book “Elizabeth: An Intimate Portrait” (“Elizabeth: An Intimate Portrait”) that, in fact, Elizabeth II was facing cancer. The disease is said to be rare and has secretly affected the Queen’s bone marrow in recent years.
“I heard the Queen had a form of myeloma – cancer of the bone marrow – which would explain her tiredness and weight loss and those ‘mobility problems’ we were always told about during the last year of her life,” wrote the author in the book.
“The most common symptom of myeloma is bone pain, particularly in the pelvis and lower back. Multiple myeloma is a disease that often affects the elderly. There is currently no known cure, but treatment can reduce the severity of the symptoms, prolonging the patient’s survival into months or two to three years”, completed.
So far, the royal family has not commented on new information regarding Queen Elizabeth II’s death.
