“He went into cardiac arrest in the bedroom [do hospital]🇧🇷 I know about this noise as I have now visited occasionally and see the thing go on and off. And them [me diziam]: ‘you have to go’ and they grabbed me. And they took me out and I was like, ‘What the hell is going on?’” she said.

Michael’s cardiac arrest was caused by life-threatening cardiomyopathy that required him to undergo a heart transplant.

Kutcher also opened up about how he felt guilty about his success while his brother lived with the disease: “I thought ‘how can I be so lucky and my brother was born with cerebral palsy, then had a heart transplant and then had this blood clot what?’. Things you say ‘who has to go through this? How can I be so lucky?'”

According to the artist, he and Michael had a frank conversation, in which the brother said: “Every time you feel sorry for me, you make me smaller. This is the only life I have, so stop feeling sorry for the only what I have”. For Kutcher, it was that moment that changed their relationship.

Vasculitis diagnosis

During his interview with Dr. David Agus, Kutcher also talked about the diagnosis of vasculitis🇧🇷 In August, he revealed that he was suffering from the disease which left him unable to see, hear or walk.

“I woke up one day and I had vision problems, I could barely see. It knocked out my hearing, it took my balance and I couldn’t walk. I had vasculitis, as you well know,” he recalled.

According to the actor, the difficulties he went through with the disease made him rethink the way he lived: “When you come face to face with death, you instinctively start thinking about what you will do today.”

“You don’t appreciate things until they’re gone. Until you say, ‘I don’t know if I can see again, I don’t know if I can hear again, if I can walk again,'” he said.

Kutcher, however, explained that he was virtually cured. “I wasn’t able to walk and I thought, ‘Wait a second, if I can go from not being able to walk to running a marathon in a three year period, then I can let that be a thing of the past and be like, ‘I’m I’m back. I’m fine.'” he said, referring to the fact that he managed to complete the NYC marathon in November.
