In an interview with journalist Chris Wallace, the actor revealed that in order to achieve the hero’s body, he did it the old-fashioned way: with a high-protein diet and lots of exercise.
The actor Hugh Jackman was the interviewee podcasts Who is talking to Chris Wallace?of CNN USA, and was asked about the physical preparation process for interpreting Glutton. The presenter asked if he had already taken steroidsto which the actor promptly denied.
According to Jackman, when he looked for information on the use of steroids, he would have been warned in a very amusing way about the reactions that these substances can cause in the body. “I love my job. But I have to be careful what I say here, but I’ve been told in a very ‘anecdotal’ way about the side effects of that. So I was like, ‘I don’t like this. [ficar forte] so much give. So I decided to do it the old-fashioned way.”
The actor explained that he has always followed a high protein diet and followed an intense workout routine. “I apologize to all the chickens and all the vegans and vegetarians in the world, but I used to eat a lot of chicken,” he said. “I’m definitely not very lucky with karma. If the deity has anything to do with chickens, they’re salted,” he joked.
Currently, Jackman is once again preparing to play the Marvel hero. His last film with the character, Logano, which premiered in 2017, and the actor had since said he was retiring from the franchise. What he didn’t expect was the insistence of Ryan Reynolds (The Adam Project), who has always spoken publicly about his desire to work with Jackman in a film by Dead Pool.
In the Marvel comic universe, Deadpool and Wolverine have a rivalry with each other. Actors may already get a taste of this experience in The Origins of the X-Men: Wolverine (2009), but Reynolds had a quick turnaround and performed without wearing his character’s traditional uniform. This year they start work so that in 2024 the third film in Dead Poolwhere the heroes finally meet.
The actor spoke a little about what the film he will be recording with Reynolds will look like. “This story is pre-Loganospotted listeners of the Marvel Universe Timeline Podcast. “I really thought I wasn’t going to come back to do Wolverine. I was at peace with that. Even though everyone has asked me in interviews or with Ryan’s calls, “Can we do this again?”
Jackman also said it was because of his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, that he decided to accept Ryan Reynolds’ invitation. “He asked me what I was going to do after Wolverine. And then, driving one day, I thought I’d never played Wolverine in a situation like that. [Deadpool 3] there’s a dynamic that I’ve never experienced before that I thought might be fun to experience right now.”
For the new feature, Jackman said he will follow the same recipe as always and that, in the next semester, his job will be to go to the gym. “I learned it [ganhar musculatura] it can’t be done in a hurry. I won’t do anything else. I will stay with my family and train. It will be my job for six months,” she said.
