Netinho da Bahia is an old acquaintance of members of the traditional Aracaju Yacht Club. Singer axé was the star of the group’s electric trio at Carnival before the pandemic.

Some posts by the artist, a declared admirer of Jair Bolsonaro, have been interpreted as declarations of support for the anti-democratic acts of January 8, when vandals vandalized the buildings of the Three Powers in Brasilia.

One of the voices against Netinho’s hiring was that of the lawyer and television journalist Danilo Segundo, husband of Lurian Cordeiro Lula da Silva, daughter of President Lula. The couple lives in the capital of Sergipe.

To clarify the situation, Netinho went to Aracaju. There was a meeting with the top management of the club. According to him, it was a friendly conversation.

In an interview with the presenter Luiz Carlos Focca, of the Itnet television channel, the singer said that he will sue the lawyers against those who have associated him with the criminal uprising in Brasilia.

“They sent me the press. ‘The singer Netinho finances terrorism’. You will have to prove it in court… Funding which terrorism? Am I, Netinho, the terrorist? Wait a minute, kid, you can’t,” he said.

The artist reported the surprise of discovering the cancellation of his participation in the Aracaju club block while reading on a social network. You warn not to give up receiving what was agreed in the contract.

When asked about his ideological position on the right, Netinho presented an argument. “The artist has nothing to do with it. My positions on food, politics, sports, (are from) Ernesto de Souza Júnior, an individual, not the artist.

Netinho said he will not shut up or leave the scene due to critics calling for a boycott of his career. “It is not for one person that I will stop singing. That doesn’t exist. Will he kill me? Will you have me killed?”
