Adam Nianeone of the cast members of the series lupinefrom Netflixdied last Sunday, aged 29, at the age of 56.
In the series, Niane played one of the antagonists, the assassin Léonard, hired by the villain Hubert Pellegrini.
The news was confirmed by actor Omar Sy and director Olivier Abbou. The cause of death was not disclosed.
“I send my deepest condolences to the loved ones of Adama Niane, a great actor with whom I had the opportunity and pleasure to play alongside. A man of rare benevolence…May his soul rest in peace,” wrote Sy on a social network.
Director Olivier Abbou, who worked with Niane on the film strangers in the house, also mourned the actor’s death. “He was committed, enlightened, accomplished, talented and powerful. He was my hero, a friend, an accomplice. Go in peace.”
