Actor and director Dennis Carvalho has been discharged after being hospitalized for more than a month in a hospital in Copacabana, in the south zone of Rio de Janeiro. According to the information of the columnist Patricia Kogut, of the newspaper O Globo, he is already recovering at home.
The 75-year-old artist was admitted to the health unit on December 26, diagnosed with septicemia, a generalized condition caused by the body’s response to an out-of-control infection.
He was in serious condition, as reported by his ex-wife, actress Deborah Evelyn, with whom the director had been married for over 24 years. In her latest update on her ex-husband’s health, Deborah painted an optimistic picture by revealing that Dennis was getting better every day.
Dennis Carvalho was one of the main soap opera directors on Rede Globo, but his contract expired in September after being put in the ‘fridge’ for some time. He entered into the cuts promoted by the broadcaster as a way to reduce the budget.
