Immediately made an offer: which dish Meghan Markle conquered Prince Harry – recipe

When Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced their engagement in 2017, girls everywhere wondered how the simple actress managed to win over the British prince. And Megan only followed popular wisdom: “The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.” We’re talking about Megan’s signature dish.

At the start of the novel, Megan and Harry traveled together and even visited Botswana, but the prince decided to propose in a familiar setting and chose a time for it that many may seem completely unromantic and unremarkable.

It all happened in a cottage on the grounds of Kensington Palace, which became Meghan and Harry’s first joint home in 2017. The lovers were in the kitchen, and Megan was preparing her signature dish – fried chicken.

The appetizing aromas apparently convinced the prince that he had found the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. Harry got down on one knee and asked if Meghan wanted to marry him.

Was it a trick on Megan’s part? Unknown. But the recipe has definitely proven itself. Here’s what Megan later said about her:

“There is nothing more delicious and impressive than a perfectly fried chicken. It works wonders. I bring this dish to dinner parties and make a lot of friends with it.

You will need a gutted chicken. It must be washed and dried. After that, the chicken should be abundantly peppered and salted inside and out, stuffed with quartered lemon, a clove of garlic and thyme and brushed with olive oil. Then you need to tie the thighs with cooking twine and put the chicken itself in a baking dish. A quarter of a lemon with onion or radish can be added to the chicken dish, flavored with two tablespoons of olive oil, a teaspoon of salt and half a teaspoon of pepper. Cook everything at 220 degrees for about an hour and 15 minutes until the juices run clear.

Transfer the chicken to a plate, cover with foil and let rest for 10 minutes.

Well, it’s time to call your prince to the table!
