‘What you need is to LOVE YOURSELF’: Carlos Vives talks about his girlfriend Shakira in the face of criticism

Carlos Vives justifies the role of Shakira

Given the criticism Shakira has been receiving, her friend Carlos Vives has come to her defense saying that “ you know what you need is to love yourselfhoney and she has dealt with her situation in style.”

The Colombian’s statements were published this Wednesday, March 1 by the Europa Press agency, which spoke with him in Madrid.

There, she justified how her friend has used music to come clean after what happened to her with Pique, with whom she had a 12-year relationship. The artist has released songs such as “Congratulations” and “Monotony” where he has addressed the breakup and made harsh references to his ex.

“You do it with the style of your music and she does it in her style with her music and finally nothing, it’s so difficult when it happens to someone in life,” defended Vives.

” It’s so powerful when you take a break artist or not, when something you’ve built and believed in falls apart. It happened to me and it’s very hard to even listen to advice, it’s very hard because everyone goes through this. It’s like so his own,” he explained.
