Singer Lady Gaga has received an official position in the White House: US President Joe Biden appointed the performer as co-chairman of the committee on culture and arts. The official statement says that Gaga has won 13 Grammy Awards, making her “one of the most commercially successful female musicians in history.”

The White House also recalled that the singer was included in the list of the most influential women in the world according to Forbes magazine, as well as in the list of 100 most influential people in the world according to Time. In addition, the famous performer takes an active part in charitable activities and public campaigns. For example, at the start of the pandemic in 2020, Lady Gaga hosted a teleconcert benefiting the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Solidarity and Response Fund. She also actively supported Joe Biden during his election campaign and performed at his inauguration, where she sang the US anthem.

The Culture and Art Committee was established in 1982. He is engaged in making recommendations to the head of the White House on cultural policy. It is made up of distinguished artists, scientists and philanthropists who have “demonstrated a commitment to supporting the arts and the humanities”. Members of this committee are appointed personally by the President of the United States.
