Erika Buenfil has already given her son instructions on when to leave: ‘He only has me’

Erika Buenfil revealed that she has already talked to her son, Nicolás, about what he should do after the day he dies.

Although she expects that moment to be far away, after the death of Julián Figueroa, the firstborn of her friend Maribel Guardia, the 59-year-old actress confessed that she had already given instructions to “Nico”.

Erika Buenfil told her son how to move on after his death

Erika Buenfil spoke about the 18-year-old’s displeasure in talking about death.

“He does not like it, [pero] Of course we’ve talked about it, we’ve talked about a lot of things,” he shared in an interview with reporter Eden Dorantes on April 17.

“When he was 2, his grandmother died, my mother, and he didn’t talk about it, he was very young, so when he wanted to bring it up, he didn’t like it, but yeah, it’s hard to talk about it,” he said.

The star of Forgive Our Sins, a telenovela that can be seen on Univision and ViX, emphasized that Nicolás is already clear about how he should proceed after her disappearance.

“Of course, it has everything, indications yes. He just really only has me. Sure, there are his uncles and cousins, a lot of people, but there are specific guidelines,” he explained.

Despite her son’s backlash, which is a result of her romance with businessman Ernesto Zedillo Jr., Erika didn’t stop.

“(He replied): ‘Mom, don’t tell me that.’ (But I replied): “You must know this, this and this,” he commented.

In August last year, she revealed that Nicolás finally met his father, so they have a cordial relationship.

“I already forgave him, I don’t hold a grudge against him,” the teenager said in an interview with Who, referring to the fact that Zendillo Jr. has never cared for him or acknowledged him.

Erika Buenfil fears her son will leave before her

In the same conversation, Erika Buenfil admitted that she was “terrified” to go through a situation similar to Maribel’s: “You don’t even want to think about it. May God watch over us,” he said.

She even recounted the “shock” she experienced after learning of the departure of Julián Figueroa, whom Marimel Guardia gave birth to with Joan Sebastian.

(Nicolas asked me): “Mom, why are you behaving like this?” (I answered): “Because I know Maribel, because I’m a mother, because it seems unbelievable to me, I hope it’s all lies,” she said.

“I said, ‘No, no, no, I mean, (Julian) was starting his life.’ Nikolas hugged me because yes, really, (I let go) crying,” he added.

On April 10, Buenfil offered his condolences to Guardia, who lost his 27-year-old son to “acute myocardial infarction and ventricular fibrillation.”

“With all the pain as a mother. Unfortunately I read very sad news. My deepest condolences to Maribel Guardia. A big hug. Rest in peace, Julián Figueroa,” he tweeted.
