The presenter responded to a video by Pastor Silas Malafaia, in which he claims that homosexuals, adulterers and idolaters will go to hell
Xuxa Menegel has received several criticisms from Bolsonarist parliamentarians after suggesting rewriting the Bible, in a comment on Instagram.
The presenter responded to a video by pastor Silas Malafaia, in which the politician claims that homosexuals, adulterers and idolaters go straight to hell.
The religious leader even claimed that this opinion was based on passages from the Bible, which he grew up hearing and blindly following.
“Call hypocrisy. No one can judge anyone. And if we follow the Bible we will stone, we will kill so many people… I don’t know… it’s time to rewrite the Bible,” wrote Xuxa.
With the post, Xuxa has received retaliation from some politicians, such as federal deputy Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG), who used her Twitter account to criticize her.
“This is what comes out when you slide the record backwards,” he wrote, referring to a conspiracy theory dating back to the 1980s, when the emcee released songs on compilation albums.
Paulo Bilynskyj (PL-SP) also criticized the artist. Nikolas’ bench mate said it would be “time to hospitalize” the announcer.
