Shakira would like to buy a house in a luxury area that is only accessible by helicopter or boat

Shakira would be interested in owning a mansion located in an area that is only accessible by boat or helicopter.

Last week, the “Congratulations” singer began researching what her new home will be, one that protects her privacy and that of her children, Milan and Sasha, as reported.

This would be the island where Shakira would like to live

On April 25, Álex Rodríguez, contributor to ¡Sitense Quien Pueda!, gave an update on this issue.

During an appearance on “El programa de Ana Rosa”, he claimed that the singer is attracted to a property located on Fisher Island, which is very exclusive.

“(Only) there are millionaires (living there), the place is only accessible by boat or helicopter,” he explained.

Rodríguez confirmed that this weekend the Colombian was visiting the area and that she was right on a ship that arrived there.

“(She) would seek approval, like in the United States, from all the neighbors, who are the ones who have to meet to decide whether they want her (to live there) or not,” he said.

The show emphasized that to be a part of said neighborhood, an initial fee of $250,000 must be paid and, later, an annual fee of $22,256.

Tenants have amenities including: access to private beaches with sand imported from the Bahamas, eight restaurants, two plunge pools, a spa and 18 tennis courts, among others.

“This island ranks 23rd among the most expensive neighborhoods in the country, the average income of its 1,300 residents is about $2.5 million a year,” it noted.

According to Alex, each of the properties on the island has an average price of around six million dollars and Kim Kardashian is also trying to get one of them.

“(There’s) absolutely no crime, it’s got its own private security, when (you’re) in there you move around in a golf cart,” he said.

“It’s very safe for the kids, no paparazzi (can come in), so that’s probably where you can find the privacy you crave,” he added.

Does Shakira want a second home?

Due to the complexity of getting in and out of Fisher Island, Álex Rodríguez pointed out that there is a possibility that Shakira considers the mansion she buys there as her second home.

The singer-songwriter’s daily life would be complicated because Milan and Sasha study at Miami Country Day, and commuting to pick them up and drop them off wouldn’t be easy.

The communicator confirmed that she has not sold the mansion on North Bay Road Drive, where she is currently based and which is valued at $20 million.
