Last night at the 75th Cannes Film Festival showed a fantastic horror “Crimes of the Future”. Director David Cronenberg has been working on the film for the past 20 years. And although it is called the same as his 1970 film, according to the director, it is not a remake. The film takes place in a dystopian future in which people’s bodies are transformed due to accelerated evolution.

Performer Saul Tenser demonstrates changes in his body during his avant-garde performances. His partner Caprice helps him in this, and investigator Timlin is watching their actions. She soon discovers a mysterious group who are trying to use the fame of the artist to shed light on the next phase of evolution. An employee of an organ production organization also appears in the picture, who is in love with Tenser and dreams of becoming his new muse, replacing Caprice.

Starring Viggo Mortensen, Kristen Stewart, Léa Seydoux, Scott Speedman, Velket Bunge and Don McKellar. Viggo came to the premiere in a brand-new three-piece suit, Léa Seydoux in a striped Louis Vuitton dress, and the muse of the late Karl Lagerfeld and the house’s ambassador, of course, in Chanel. The actress wore a multi-coloured long-sleeved crop top and a white skirt with a huge bow at the waist, and complemented the ensemble with black stilettos and a casually gathered ponytail.

Sharon Stone made a splash again. The 64-year-old actress, who recently dazzled the public with her transformable dress, this time came in a dark green Dolce & Gabbana bustier dress with a high slit to the thigh and sandals of the same color. The premiere was also attended by Tina Kunaki and Vincent Cassel, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Emily Ratajkowski and others.

Deadline reported that at the end of the screening, the audience gave a standing ovation for several minutes, and Cronenberg admitted that he did not expect such a reaction:

I was speechless – this is the first time I see this film on such a big screen. I am very touched by your reaction. I hope you are not joking, I hope you are serious. Thank you very much. It’s great for me to finally be able to share the film with people. It really helps,” the director said.
