Kate Moss testifies in favor of ex-boyfriend Johnny Depp

A few days ago, the media started talking about the fact that 48-year-old British supermodel Kate Moss intends to testify for the first time at the trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard. Fans of the actor were waiting for this with bated breath. And today, Kate went to another meeting in the courtroom of Fairfax, Virginia, via video link.

A little earlier, during cross-examination of former spouses, 36-year-old Amber Heard mentioned the name Moss in her testimony. The actress recalled the fight that took place on the stairs between Depp and her sister Whitney Henriquez in March 2015. According to the testimony of Whitney herself, then he didn’t push her down, but he hit her hard, and then swung at Heard. Then Amber hit her ex-husband for the first time in response. She was seriously scared for herself and her sister, because she had previously heard a bike about how Johnny allegedly threw his ex-girlfriend Moss down the stairs. Note that she mentioned this rumor back in 2020 during her testimony in a defamation case.

This time, Moss did not remain silent and decided to refute what Hurd said personally. She stressed that this is the first time she is testifying in court. In fact, there were no stairs, and no one ever pushed Kate, but she did slip unfortunately at a Jamaican resort during a road trip with Depp.

We went somewhere. Johnny left the room first. It was raining. Following him down the hallway, I slipped on the stairs and hurt my back,” she explained under oath, “I was screaming because I was shocked by what happened and I was in pain. He ran up, helped me, carried me back and provided first aid. Johnny never pushed, kicked or threw me down the stairs,” Moss confirmed.

Depp and Moss broke up in 1997 after four years of relationship and engagement rumors, though they later made a one-time appearance together at the 1998 Cannes Film Festival. The couple lived a rock and roll lifestyle and Depp was already in trouble with the law at the start of their relationship. On September 13, 1994, at 5:30 am, he was arrested for pogrom in a hotel room at the Mark Hotel in New York. The police detained the actor in a state of extreme intoxication, but Moss, who was with him, unlike the furniture, remained unharmed. The judge dismissed the hotel’s charges against Depp on the condition that he stay out of trouble for six months. Depp paid the hotel $10,000 in damages.

In a 2012 Vanity Fair interview, Kate Moss admitted she shed tears over her relationship with Johnny for years. She claimed that she always trusted him, and he, in turn, supported and understood her.

Recall that over the past week, Johnny Depp also stood up for two friends at once – Courtney Love and Eva Green. Courtney recorded an emotional video message in which she stated that the actor literally saved the life of her and her daughter personally from her marriage to Kurt Cobain. Eva Green also published an archival picture with Johnny on her blog and encouraged her colleague in Dark Shadows with warm words.
