MP investigated over luxury ring given to actress Carla Diaz told TSE he has R$5,000 in accounts

Deputy Felipe Becari (União-SP) is being investigated by the public prosecutor of São Paulo for suspicions concerning a luxurious engagement ring given to actress Carla Diaz. He told the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) that he has only BRL 5,020.15 in his bank accounts, in August 2022.

According to the newspaper report The globe, the ring used to propose marriage to the former BBB is from the American brand Tiffany & Co, one of the most famous in the jewelery sector. Together, the vehicles amount to just over R$76,000 to the estate, which also includes a house valued at R$582,507.90 in Interlagos, an upscale neighborhood in São Paulo.

The MP-SP investigates a possible diversion of resources by an organization that bears the name of the MP and which takes in animals that have been mistreated. The proceeds would be used to pay for personal expenses, such as an engagement ring and a trip to Italy, where the marriage proposal was made.

The procedure was launched to investigate embezzlement and embezzlement offenses in January this year and has seen its deadline extended three times.
