Anitta took advantage of the interview on the podcast “Quem Pode, Pod” to detail her character in the seventh season of the series “Elite”. In the conversation wheel, the singer confessed that she’s afraid of her rejection because she’s still learning how to act.
According to the artist, the producers of “Elite” had made previous invitations, but she allegedly declined due to the busy schedule. However, the singer saw the challenge as a “big school” and she said she made the most of the opportunity.
“I didn’t have a schedule until this year when I said, ‘I really want to do [essa série]’. I really want to learn [a atuar] and I thought it would be a great school, so did my agent. But like this, folks, without much expectation,” she commented.
“It’s a small role, it’s not a big role. I didn’t want a big role because I’m still learning [a atuar]I don’t want to embarrass myself,” admitted the actress, who will appear in more than one episode during season seven.
Anitta also said the story will be interesting, but she reinforced the dimension of the role. “The character is nice, it has a nice space, but it’s not huge because I didn’t want to risk something too big because I don’t have much experience. Furthermore, the artist claimed that he recorded all the scenes in just one week. “They thought it would take me a month [para gravar]but it only took me a week. But I was terrible at reading, right? Because I suck at reading and trying, I’m really bad at it. Even in concert,” admitted the singer. “Something is coming at the moment. And everyone was like, ‘Wow, what happened?’ And I was like, ‘Wow, so reading really sucked.'”
Finally, Anitta said she will not play a drug dealer, nor will she have sex scenes with students from the fictional Las Encinas school. The singer also teased that she may make future appearances on the series. “I’m thinking I’ll bring students, but no. I’m not a student. The premiere is coming up soon, again. I think it’s June or July. And they want me to do the next season already,” she said.
Season 7 of ‘Elite’ is expected to debut on Netflix in the second half of this year.
