Daisy Jones & The Six star Riley Keough has become sole trustee of her late mother Lisa Marie Presley’s estate. The decision was upheld by the Los Angeles Supreme Court, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Riley’s grandmother Priscilla Presley will be paid an undisclosed amount to withdraw a petition that challenges a 2016 amendment to her late daughter’s will.

Priscilla claimed that the changes were never granted to her while her daughter was alive, as required by the terms of the foundation’s charter documents. After the death of her father Elvis Presley and his parents, Lisa Marie became the sole heir to the estate and property of the “king of rock and roll”. It was previously run by Priscilla, who was married to Elvis from 1967 to 1973. The foundation was dissolved in 1993 when Lisa Marie turned 25. Then she formed a new one to continue running the estate with Priscilla Presley as co-founder. Lisa Marie died at the age of 54 on January 12 this year after being hospitalized due to cardiac arrest.

Keogh claims to be acting in the interests of the foundation and the family. She emphasizes that she does not intend to charge compensation for her services as a trustee, unlike Priscilla Presley. In addition, she says she would be “happy to provide more evidence” for her claims that “money will be held and invested according to the needs of the beneficiaries and not influenced by the wishes of the trustee.”

The agreement also allows Priscilla Presley to be buried in Graceland’s Garden of Meditation, now owned by Keogh. The document stipulates that the property owner is allowed to participate in the planning of the memorial service. In addition to 34-year-old Riley, the fund’s beneficiaries are her younger twin half-sisters Harper and Finley Lockwood and Lisa Marie Presley’s half-brother Navarone Garibaldi.

Recall that last month, Riley published a photo from the family archive, which depicted in infancy in the arms of her mother and father. The actress shared the photo on Mother’s Day. Thus, she wanted to honor the memory of the deceased Lisa Marie.
