Ângela Leal intends to end her career in television after launching a series created by her daughter, Leandra Leal
With more than 30 telenovelas to his credit and at 75, Angela Loyal is taking leave from TV acting. The farewell of the actress will be in the series “A Vida Pela Frente”, a Globoplay series, created and directed by her daughter Leandra Leal.
“To tell the truth, I didn’t want to do anything else on TV, I did it because Leandra asked me to, and this daughter of mine is a source of immense pride”, says the veteran in conversation with the column Luca Pasini from Splash.
The actress talks about her farewell:
Additionally, she said her farewell was quite special, as it was addressed by her daughter: “Watching her direct me was so emotional. To think she came out of me and, my God, she’s become an amazing person. That’s why I signed on.”
“Now I’m retiring. [Teatro] Rival already gives me a lot of work. I still have to live in retirement. I want peace in life and I want to enjoy it a bit.”, the actress spoke.
Angela collects characters in “Irmãos Coragem”, “Selva de Pedra”, “Dona Xepa”, “Pantanal”, “Chiquinha Gonzaga” and “Paginas da Vida”among others.
