Lucy Sophia Thomson, who was elected Miss Scotland 2022, is accused of biting and racially abusing a colleague while attending a rugby match at the Peffermill Playing Fields multi-sports gymnasium in Edinburgh, in the country’s capital, this Saturday 17. newspaper Daily mail.
Record-breaking images made by a fan attending the match show the exact moment a woman – presumably seen with signs of intoxication – is ejected from the tournament. According to the fan, during the filming it was possible to hear the woman’s screams at the security guards. On one occasion, she even said, “You know who I am, I’m Miss Scotland,” as she was being dragged away by officers.

Police who also said they were aware of the situation. “At around 9.00pm on Saturday 17th June 2023 we received a report of nuisance and hate crime on Peffermill Road in Edinburgh,” she said.
A publication made on Instagram by the Scottish Fashion Association, a company owned by Miss Scotland, shows the public recognition of the case by the institution and its position on what happened. “The SFA is aware of the incident on June 17, 2023. We are taking this matter exceptionally seriously and will provide an update in due course,” the post read.

For now, Lucy Sophia Thomson’s Instagram account remains private, but there’s no telling if the account closure is related to the allegation. Looking for a placement, the British newspaper tried to contact Miss, but was unsuccessful. The case remains under investigation.
