The presenter’s eldest son, Romeo, is autistic and can’t get out of the routine
The host Marco Mion she opened her heart and vented on social media last Sunday, 7/2. In the video, she explained why she didn’t take her son romeo18 years old, for the trip to Israel.
Mion revealed that the teenager can’t get out of his routine and therefore thinks it’s best not to take him for walks. She pointed out that a person with autism is very different and needs more attention.
“Every day of the week is the same as the week after. Knowing what happens on Monday is what will happen on the following Monday, and the next, and so on, without any change. These things don’t exist in a trip. So anything that breaks the routine, which takes him out of the comfort zone, which causes surprise, which brings the expected, generates panic, stress and crisis”underlined the presenter of the program”cauldron“, from Globe.
Then the artist talked about the evolution of his son. “It has evolved a lot over the years. He experiences an effort every day, a constant tension to fit in socially. What you see on my Instagram is that he has learned it: to be super friendly, sweet, smile warmly, ask how you are, show interest in others… What he does to achieve this is, above all, the power to control , do not be surprised, that is: dominate with the routine of the day“, he said.
