The body of theater director Aderbal Freire-Filho was buried this Thursday (10) at the Teatro Poeira, in Rio de Janeiro. The farewell to the legendary artist brought together several prestigious names in national drama, including, Marietta Severoto whom he was married for 19 years.
Upon leaving the venue, Marieta was consoled by friends and fans, who crowded the venue to pay him their last respects. Claudia Abreu, Malu Mader e Andrea Beltrão, who manages the Teatro Poeira together with Severo, also attended the farewell. Aderbal’s body was taken around 3 pm to the Carmo Memorial, where he will be cremated.
Aderbal passed away this Wednesday (09), three years later suffering a hemorrhagic stroke, which caused a number of health complications. He has spent the last few days hospitalized in the South Zone of Rio de Janeiro.
The artist was born in Fortaleza and joined the theater at the age of 13. As an actor and director, he has had several successes on the stage, such as “A visitor from above” and “A 22-year-old woman from Rio de Janeiro”.
