In this application, the monthly income would be close to R $ 230 thousand considering the CDI rate from 07/11/23 to 08/11/23. It is worth remembering that the interest rate is falling and that, in this operation, there is income tax on the capital gain calculated at the moment of the redemption, with a regressive rate starting from 22.5% up to a minimum by 15% after 720 days.

  • Yield on Selic Treasury: BRL 209 thousand

Invested R$ 18 million in Selic Treasury (paper with remuneration linked to the interest rate) on 07/11/2023 until 08/11/2023, the remuneration would have been approximately R$ 209 thousand. These are federal government bonds, bonds with lower Brazilian credit risk, considered risk-free assets in Brazil in some calculations.
