The singer revealed that she was “very charged and speculated about” by the media during her youth: “It was a plastered image.” The star also commented on the difficulty she had getting back on stage with her brother.

In his first podcast appearance, sandy she revealed that she felt uneasy about her reputation as a “saint” built over her career and said she was “very stigmatized” during her teenage years. According to her, her sexuality has also been questioned in public.

“I was much observed, much in demand, much speculated on, very stigmatized. When I was 14 someone asked me this question: ‘Do you plan to marry a virgin?’ She is [essa pergunta] it wasn’t fixed in my head,” she said.

Sandy pointed out that she didn’t know how to set boundaries at the time and had a hard time saying in interviews that she didn’t feel comfortable talking about the topic. “I either exposed myself and felt bad afterward or I lied. I lied about my first kiss,” she said.

Sandy also confided that he suffers from the reputation as a saint he has received over the years. “It was more of an internal battle. Sometimes we would talk to the press secretary and ask: what can we do?”

The star, in turn, stressed that whatever he did would already become news and that he felt like he was in a “prison”. “I was a normal teenager. I dated, I had my little life, I had my sexuality, but everything became news. It was very difficult to deal with everything,” she said commenting that she was the cover of 14 magazines at the same time.

Sandy clarifies that she has never wanted to artificially change her image and said that this transformation for the public “may take some time, but what can you do?”.

“I was terrified, I didn’t know if I could be that artist again. I had panic attacks, several! There were days where I kept crying and saying, ‘I’m not going to have another rehearsal, I’m not going to have one’ another try… I can’t do it’,” he said.



“I didn’t know if I could handle the size, this visibility, this attention so focused on us, I didn’t know if I wanted it, it was a big responsibility. And also because the shows lasted two hours and a little [de duração], I had to sing, dance, change clothes, be a pop artist again, out of nowhere, flip that switch. I didn’t know if I could do it again, I was scared, really.”

Speaking of motherhood, Sandy highlighted some changes with the arrival of her son Theo, 9, following her relationship with the musician Luke Lima. “I had to hit the brakes,” she said. According to her, since she became a mother, she has opted for a more relaxed pace in her career than she has.

“Since becoming a mother I’ve started working a lot less. I’ve acquired another rhythm. My rhythm was already slower since I started my solo career,” she said. “There are a lot of things that I can choose now that I don’t want anymore. Now I feel much more free to follow my own path and I can trace it however I want,” she stressed.
