Igor Palhano took the exam in 2019; according to him, recognition is expected by the end of this year
Dental surgeon Igor Palhano, 31, son of comedian Mussum (1941-1994) and discovered thanks to a DNA test in 2019, is still awaiting recognition of paternity to have the right to inherit his father.
“I’m waiting for my paternity to be acknowledged until today. It took a long time because my lead attorney, who was my mother, put some things in the beginning of the trial that weren’t right and that delayed some more I am awaiting my recognition, which is expected until the end of this year,” he told the newspaper Extra, in an article published this Friday, 1.
“All I need is to be able to see what you have and ask for what is rightfully mine. Only then will I have access to other things,” he added.
According to his current attorney, Alexander Medeiros, Mussum’s family was in agreement with the acknowledgment of paternity. “There is still no ruling to end this action,” he said.
Also according to the publication, in 2021, Igor filed a lawsuit to be listed on his father’s inventory after the other four siblings claimed he would not be entitled to the inheritance. In this way, until the conclusion of the process, the assets of all the heirs remain blocked.
To include Igor in the inventory, the brothers had to sign a document proving that he is Mussum’s biological son, but they refused. The surgeon then had to submit a new signature request to be recognized.
