“Sometimes people we love and admire do horrible things. They may not do those things to us and we just know who they are to us, but that doesn’t mean they haven’t done horrible things and discrediting the person they abused is a crime.
People we know as “good guys” can be predators and abusers. It’s hard to accept, but we need it. If we say we support the victims – women, children, men, boys – then we must be able to occupy this place.
Unfortunately, I have met many “wonderful guys” who have been kind to me and who have proven to be abusive in private.
I have also had personal experience with this.
Believe the victims. It’s not easy to take the initiative. It’s not easy to get a conviction.”
