Last Thursday evening (21/09), the former volleyball player Walewska Oliveira, 43 years old, died when she fell from the 17th floor of the building where she lived with her husband. Her body was found around 6.30pm.
The case was registered as “suspicious death” and is entrusted to the 78th Police District of Sao Paulo, in Jardins. Images from the building’s security cameras show Walewska alone in the building’s common area, with a bottle of wine and a folder with good quality paper.
According to the police report, he was found “a folder with a guarantee sheet, where a letter was written that seemed to come from the victim, apparently a farewell letter” in the place where she was sitting before the fall.
Olympic champion
During her time with the women’s volleyball team, Walewska won a bronze medal at the 2000 Sydney Olympics and won gold in Beijing at the 2008 games.
