Gerard Pique was apparently the target of the strong hint that his ex Shakira dropped in her latest song, ‘El Jefe’, which she performs with Fuerza Regida.
With the line: “Lili Melgar, this song is for you, they didn’t pay you compensation,” the singer took the athlete to task for allegedly firing his children’s nanny.
As he usually does, the businessman also remained silent on the matter and went on with his life, even paying a visit to Mexico City.
Why did Pique travel to Mexico?
Although the former footballer did not share details of his stay in the capital, it emerged that he was there this Wednesday, September 27.
The reason why Pique moved to Aztec territory was probably not to enjoy free time, but to fulfill a work commitment.
“It turns out that he recorded a campaign for a bank,” journalist Flor Rubio said today during the show “Venga la salud.”
He reported that the Kings League founder was supposed to have spent “all morning” in the Polanco neighborhood, where the shooting would take place.
“The people who managed to see him and live with him told Gabriel (the program’s reporter) that, very politely, he took pictures with all the people who asked him,” he said.
“And they heard him say that he wanted to walk the streets, that he wanted to eat Mexican food,” Rubio explained of Gerard’s alleged desires.
For his part, actor Juan Carlos Ramírez, who has participated in Esta Historia Me Suena, which you can see here on ViX, revealed that he was working with the Catalan.
The actor posted the ‘selfie’ he took to his Instagram feed with Pique, who flashes a slight smile at the camera.
Ramírez did not give the details of the project that allowed him to work with Clara Chía Martí’s boyfriend. So far it has not been made official that the image of any company is.
Just yesterday, Spain’s Laura Fa of the “Mamarazzis” podcast reported on Gerard’s stop in the metropolis before supposedly heading to Miami to pick up his little ones Milan and Sasha.

After the premiere of “El Jefe”, Lorena Vázquez told how Gerard would accept the speculation surrounding him about his children’s nanny, Lili Melgar.
“She’s the one who decides to leave (there), so what surprises Gerrard now is that this (spoof) is talking about compensation that hasn’t been paid to him,” he said, citing “sources.”
