According to Daily.Mail, representatives of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex asked the couple to visit the New York school
During Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s visit to New York in 2021, the couple’s team made specific requests to school PS 123 in Harlem, where they planned to film a Netflix documentary. According to emails obtained by DailyMail.com, Harry and Meghan’s representatives requested cushions and a new carpet for the school, trying to ensure a positive presentation of the visit.
On this occasion Meghan read the children’s book, The bench, to a class of second year students during an outdoor event at school. He was wearing a Loro Piana cashmere coat worth $5,840 (about R$29,420) and trousers worth $1,680 (about R$8,462.40), values converted based on the dollar exchange rate (R$5.03 ) on Thursday 28th.
According to the site, the documents show that the Archewell team, the couple’s organization, distributed consent forms to students and teachers at the elementary school, authorizing the filming of the event. Additionally, students and staff were asked not to make “negative” comments about the project or the pair.
When asked about the purpose of the filming, the team did not provide very detailed answers, indicating that the captured images could be used in a future documentary, without promotional intent.
DailyMail.com attempted to obtain comment from Archewell on the information revealed in the emails, but had not received a response by the time the article was published.
