After Jada Smith revealed she had been living apart from Will for seven years, Meryl Streep also announced the separation. The spokesperson for the 74-year-old American actress revealed to Page Six that she is no longer married Don Gummer more than 6 years ago.
“They have been separated for over 6 years and, although they have always cared for each other, they have chosen separate lives,” Meryl’s team said in a statement.
The actress married Don in 1978 and they had four children together: Henry, 43, Mamie, 40, Grace, 37, and Louisa Jacobson, 30. The last time the former couple was seen together was at the Oscars of 2018.
It was Meryl’s brother who introduced her to Gummer. The actress married the sculptor six months after her fiancé John Cazale died of lung cancer.
