Matthew Perry died at age 54 on Oct. 28 and was found “unconscious in a freestanding hot tub” at his Los Angeles home, a Fire Department spokesman said.
The cause of death has not been determined, but initial toxicology tests showed he had “no fentanyl or methamphetamine in his system.”
However, deeper tests are still being carried out to determine if there are other banned drugs in his blood or if the levels of any prescription drugs were at harmful doses.
Those investigations will likely take between four and six months to complete, and once all the data is collected, the medical examiner will determine the cause and manner of Matthew Perry’s death, TMZ reported.
