Colombian singer, Yina Rose, divided social networks by reporting that her 16-year-old daughter underwent cosmetic surgery to help boost her self-esteem.
The ‘influencer’ also shared a video explaining that she agreed to grant Celeste’s wish because of the bullying she’s been getting on social media over her nose, which had left the teenager feeling ‘frustrated’.
“My daughter Celeste has been asking me for a long time to do her rhinoplasty. He got a lot of bullying because of the way his nose looked and was really frustrated.to the point where sometimes he couldn’t even take pictures or take videos. But after seeing her cry so much and seeing her so disappointed, we decided to support her as a family,” she says in her Instagram video.
Yina highlighted how complicated it is for some to deal with the networks’ “hate” and pointed out that as long as Celeste is happy, she will be too.
“It is a very difficult issue because Today’s teenagers are under a lot of pressure with what is happening with social networks. Now, it’s about supporting our daughter and we’ve taken this very important step and I think this is one of the happiest days for her. As parents, your children’s happiness will always be yours,” he concluded in the video.
