The death of a 22-year-old student at a Taylor Swift concert angers his father who demands punishment
This Friday the 17th a tragedy occurred during the singer’s show Taylor Swift in Rio de Janeiro. The student Ana Clara Benevides, 22, died during the event after falling ill due to the heat. The young woman’s father, Weiny Machadocalled for punishment for those responsible for the case.
He said the ban on handing out water bottles at the event was absurd. In a newspaper interview Folha de S.Paulo, Machado spoke about the loss of the psychology student. “I lost my only daughter, a happy and intelligent girl. I have no words to express my pain. Machado still expects a thorough investigation into the case. “I know that the singer was handing out water to the fans, and this is absurd for an event of this size. Nothing will bring my daughter back, but I hope that, if the negligence is confirmed, someone will be punished, so that this doesn’t happen to anyone else .”
