Black Sabbath leader Ozzy Osbourne says he has at most 10 more years to live

Singer was interviewed by a British publication and spoke about his current state of health after discovering cancer in 2019 and being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease

Singer Ozzy Osbourne he said he has “at most 10 more years to live,” in an interview with Rolling Stone UK. The singer of Black Saturday has said he is “virtually disabled” after undergoing a series of back surgeries and discovering a tumor in his spine in 2019. The artist has also been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

Upon publication, the artist said that he does not want to live a long life. “I’m not afraid of dying, but I don’t want to have a long, painful, miserable existence,” she told the magazine. “I like the idea that if you have a terminal illness, you can go to a place in Switzerland and have it healed quickly,” she continued.

Ozzy also said he was called to attention by his wife Sharon after he told her he had smoked a marijuana cigarette, to which she allegedly said it would kill him. “I said, ‘How long do you want me to live?!’ At most I’m 10 years older and when you’re older time accelerates,” commented the 74-year-old artist.

In 2019, Ozzy fell in his Los Angeles home and broke his neck. Subsequently he was accompanied by doctors, who performed some surgical operations. During the trial, which he says almost left him incapacitated, doctors discovered a tumor in one of his vertebrae and had to carry out further operations.

“It really shook me up. The second surgery went horribly wrong and left me basically disabled. I thought I’d be able to run after the second and third, but in the last one they put a damn rod in my spine. They found a tumor in one of the vertebrae, so they had to remove all that too. It’s very complicated and my balance is affected,” he commented.

Ozzy also said that although he feels a lot of pain, he avoids taking medications. “I still have constant pain. I do my best to avoid painkillers,” he points out.
