The presenter Paola Antonini, from TV Globo Minas, used Instagram to remember the accident in which he lost a leg which occurred nine years ago. She published a montage with two photos, one before the accident and another more current one. In the caption she classified this process as “valuable” and recalled what she would have to learn to do after the accident.

“First, I learned how to find balance again, how to walk, go up and down stairs, and love my body again. In this process I discovered that not everything would be the same as before. A new body, new adaptations , new challenges,” he began.

“It was a gift, at the age of 20, to be able to realize what really mattered here on Earth. To be able to discover a life even more beautiful, colorful and brilliant than the one I had before… A gift because 9 years ago I learned to no longer let fear stop me, I learned that I could go beyond what I believed in, that I could try new sports, new adventures and that a few falls can sometimes be very fun. I learned to say yes to new challenges”, he continued .

In the end the presenter revealed her wish for the future: “9 years with this shiny little leg. And I hope to live another 90, undoubtedly with many adventures ahead”.

Who is Paola Antonini?

Paola Antonini debuts as a presenter on Right here, a Globo television program showcasing the riches of the interior of Minas Gerais. The influencer had an accident and lost his left leg at the age of 20.

On December 27, 2014, the influencer was trapped between two cars when the vehicle she was in was hit by a drunk driver. She was traveling to Búzios, Rio de Janeiro.

After the accident, Paola remained in the operating room for 14 hours and her left leg was amputated.

She made her acting debut in the series The same night every day, produced by Netflix. The series tells the story of the tragedy that occurred at the Kiss nightclub in Santa Maria (RS) and the search for justice by the parents and survivors. Paola plays Grazie, a young woman who escapes the nightclub alive, but loses a leg due to complications during the rescue.
